Support Us

Whilst the VCC receives some funding from the Ministry of Defence by way of a capitation grant the vast majority of our training and activities expenses are met by our own funds.  We try to minimise the financial burden on cadets and their families as much as possible so we not only raise our own funds by participating in activities but also encourage support from our local communities and wider afield.

If you appreciate the values and aims of the VCC, with the platform we offer our Cadets around the Royal Navy and Royal Marines ethos, and would like to support us there are a number of ways you could help.  Whichever way you support the VCC, our cadets and staff will be very appreciative, and you’ll have the benefit of knowing that you are making a positive contribution to the development of some inspiring young people.

Some of the ways in which you can help are:

Shop Online and Donate

Donate

You could simply make a one off donation by cheque.  If so, please send your cheque (made payable to ‘Volunteer Cadet Corps’) to Fundraising and Charity Officer, Headquarters VCC, Fort Grange Keep, HMS SULTAN, Military Road, GOSPORT, Hampshire, PO12 3BY.  Please include your name and address so we can write back and thank you.

If you would like to make a regular contribution you can set up a standing order.  Just contact our Fundraising and Charity Officer at Headquarters VCC and we can provide all the details you need.

Legacy

Making a lasting difference to our young people could be achieved by leaving a gift in your will.  Any amount, no matter how small or big, can be put to good use by helping our cadets develop their potential.  If you would like to leave a gift in your will please contact us for a further no obligation discussion.  You may also like to visit Remember a Charity for further guidance about leaving a legacy gift.

Charitiable Partnerships

We also benefit from gifts from several benefactor charity partners such as the Connaught Trust.  We are hugely grateful to our charity partners for their grants, all of which are put to good use in providing challenging and exciting activities for our cadets.  If your organisation is looking to make a one off or occasional grant to a youth charity then why not consider the VCC.  Just contact us for further information.
